Jeanneau has announced a busy awards season, with four of its powerboats and the new Sun Odyssey 455 nominated across several of the biggest prizes in European boating. The builder says the shortlists reflect how quickly its range has been growing.
On the sailing side, the Sun Odyssey 455 is in the running for European Yacht of the Year 2027. Closer to home, she's also on the shortlist in the British Yachting Awards for 2026, where the judges have put her forward in the cruising yacht category. For a boat that's only just arrived, that's a good start.
She's a 45-foot cruiser, and what we like about her is that she's been drawn to be easy to handle while still feeling properly seaworthy. Jeanneau points to a modern hull shape and a deck plan worked out around how people actually move about a boat. Below, the saloon is large and gets plenty of daylight, and there's a choice of four layouts, so owners can set her up for a couple cruising on their own or for a family with guests aboard.
For powerboat buyers, the headline nomination is the Cap Camarat 6.0 CC, shortlisted for European Powerboat of the Year 2026. Jeanneau describes her as a complete redesign of this day boat, and she made her world debut at the La Rochelle Boat Show. She's a 6-metre centre console with a 115 hp engine as standard, simple to run and easy to trail, which makes her a practical choice for anyone who wants to tow to different slipways rather than keep a boat on a berth all season. Her layout is modular, so the deck can be arranged for fishing, swimming or just pottering about.
Jeanneau also has three models among the finalists for the 2026 Best Of Boats awards, spread across three separate categories.
The results come in stages. Best Of Boats winners will be named at the Berlin Boat Show on 26 November 2026. The European Powerboat and Yacht of the Year winners follow at the Dusseldorf Boat Show on 23 January 2027, and the British Yachting Awards results will appear in the January issue of Sailing Today with Yachts & Yachting.
Awards don't make a boat, but a shortlist does tell you that experienced judges have spent time aboard and thought she was worth a closer look.
