Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 10 October 2026
EUROYACHTS (LARGS) LIMITED wants everyone to be able to use this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we’ve done
- Every page works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Text and buttons meet colour-contrast guidelines, and pages reflow on small screens and when zoomed in.
- We enlarged the website's smaller text (labels, notes and captions) in October 2026 to make it easier to read.
- You can switch between a light and a dark appearance, and the website follows your device’s setting to begin with.
- Forms have labels, tell you clearly what needs fixing, and announce progress to screen readers. Longer requests (servicing, parts, insurance, selling your boat) ask one question at a time.
- Movement is kept to a minimum for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion. Background videos (homepage, New Boat pages, Boat Builder) have no sound, don't play on phones or with reduced motion, and have a pause button; the moving row of boats can be paused.
- Menus, dropdowns, pop-up forms, the photo viewer and the cookie choices can be used with a keyboard and a screen reader.
- Photos of our boats are described in words (alt text) that name the boat and say what each photo shows, for example the saloon or the helm. These descriptions are written with the help of AI and checked by our team.
- Each page has one main heading and a clear structure of headings, and the language of every page is set to English.
- Every update of the website is checked automatically for missing photo descriptions, missing page titles and headings, broken links and pages that are too slow to load.
Known issues
- Boat descriptions come from our listing network as written by the broker. We correct obvious spelling and punctuation mistakes, but some descriptions are long and not split into headings.
- Some photos on boats for sale and New Boat pages still have only a simple description (the boat’s name and the photo’s number) while new descriptions are checked.
- Boat brochures are PDF files and aren’t fully tagged for screen readers. Everything in a brochure is also on the boat’s page on this website, and we can send the details in another format on request.
- Some videos and 360° tours of new boats come from the manufacturer and may not have captions or descriptions.
- The website has not yet been independently audited.
