The Sun Fast 3300 is a racing yacht that's as happy with a full crew as it is with two aboard or just you. It's competitive around the cans and has been built with transatlantic races in mind too.
She was designed by Daniel Andrieu and Guillaume Verdier and is built entirely by infusion moulding, which gives a strong, stiff hull without adding weight. A single fin keel and a carefully chosen sail area help her rating under the IRC handicap rules.
The cockpit is large, so there's room to move around, and the sail controls lead back to the helm, which makes single-handed sailing practical. She's about five percent faster than the 3200, keeps the same stability and balance on technical courses, and has a hull shaped to go well downwind.
Andrieu has drawn the Sun Fast boats from the start and knows the IRC rule inside out. Verdier is known for his America's Cup and Vendée Globe work, and he brought the same computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis he used on the 100-foot Comanche and the IMOCA 60 Hugo Boss.
