With 700 l of fresh water against 240 l of fuel, the Sun Odyssey 49 was clearly set up for spending time aboard rather than just day sailing. She sleeps 6 to 8, with room for 2 more as an option, spread across 3 or 4 cabins depending on the layout.
Her hull is 14.73 m long, 14.98 m overall, and she draws 2.15 m, which is worth bearing in mind when you're planning shallower anchorages.
Philippe Briand drew her for Jeanneau, and he has said his office wanted to put everything it and the yard had learned into a modern design that would give her owners even more enjoyment. Jeanneau has since stopped building her, so any you'll find now will have been sailed and looked after by someone before you.
