Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 449

A 14-metre Philippe Briand cruiser from Jeanneau's earlier range, no longer built, suited to sailors wanting a stable, responsive boat that's easy to handle.
Jeanneau no longer builds the Sun Odyssey 449, so if she's on your list you'll be looking at a previous model. Philippe Briand drew her, and the brief was a boat that sails well and stays easy to manage.
On the helm she feels stable and responsive, and she's a seaworthy boat. That matters at 14 metres (46'), because coming alongside or working through a tight marina needs a boat that does what you ask of it.
The numbers: 13.76 m overall, 12.99 m on the hull, 4.24 m of beam and 1.6 m of draught. Tanks hold 330 l of fresh water and 200 l of fuel.
Layouts came with 2, 3 or 4 cabins, so it's worth checking which version a particular boat is before you go to see her.
