Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42 CC

A centre-cockpit Sun Odyssey from Jeanneau's earlier range, now out of production, for a crew of up to six who want sheltered sailing and plenty of room aboard.

Jeanneau stopped building the Sun Odyssey 42 CC some time ago, but she was drawn for couples and families who want to live aboard comfortably and still make good progress on passage. With the cockpit in the middle of the boat, whoever's on watch sits well protected, and there's a clear, uncluttered deck behind it.

Lines and controls all come back to a central position, so handling her doesn't mean clambering about the deck. She was designed to feel settled, both when you're sailing and when you're lying at anchor for the night.

Down below you'll find good headroom throughout and warm, carefully finished woodwork. She measures 12.85 m overall on a 12.3 m hull and draws 1.65 m. Tanks hold 440 l of fresh water and 225 l of fuel, and she's rated for a maximum of 6 people.

Like much of Jeanneau's range, she was meant to give a sensible amount of boat for her size without going overboard.
