Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 32.1
A former Jeanneau 9.5 m cruiser by Philippe Briand, light on the helm and well balanced, suited to couples or a small family wanting manageable sailing.
Jeanneau no longer builds the Sun Odyssey 32.1, but she's worth a look if you want a cruiser that's simple to sail. Her hull is naturally balanced and the steering is easy, so she's very manoeuvrable, which counts for a lot when you're coming alongside or short-handed.
Philippe Briand drew her with a wide beam and a low profile, and the lines are sleek and good-looking. She measures 9.5 m overall, 9.35 m on the hull, and draws 1.95 m.
Inside, there's a double berth in the forward cabin, and you'll find ample headroom and floor space in every cabin. The saloon feels open and uncluttered, finished in a classic style with varnished teak facades and a teak and holly sole.
She's rated for a maximum of 6 people, with tanks for 160 l of fresh water and 45 l of fuel.
