Jeanneau Sun Fast 43
A previous-model Jeanneau racer-cruiser with a Daniel Andrieu hull, for sailors who want proven race pace in a boat that's simple to handle offshore.
She's no longer in Jeanneau's range, so any Sun Fast 43 you look at now will be a previously owned boat. The hull was drawn by Daniel Andrieu, and it earned a good name racing round the buoys and in regattas generally.
For all that, she isn't a handful. She was built with the open sea in mind, she steers easily, and sail handling is kept simple, so a small crew can get the best from her.
She's 13.21 m overall on a hull length of 12.84 m. The draught is a deep 2.55 m, worth bearing in mind if you like to tuck into shallow anchorages.
Below, the furnishings are finely detailed and the layout has a warm feel to it, so she's a comfortable place to be in harbour, on the hook or under way. Tanks hold 200 l of fuel and 400 l of fresh water, and she's rated for a maximum of 5 people.
