A Daniel Andrieu cruiser-racer from Jeanneau, no longer in production, suited to sailors who race and cruise and want a proper interior on a quick boat.

The Sun Fast 3200 is a cruiser-racer drawn by Daniel Andrieu, and Jeanneau no longer builds her. She was made for performance cruising and racing, using the construction technology of her day to get the best strength-to-weight ratio, and she's at her most impressive sailing off the wind.

Below, she's better set up than many boats in her class. There are two double cabins, a galley, a chart table and a heads compartment, which makes a few nights aboard after a race far more comfortable. The technical equipment was chosen with function and reliability first in mind.

Later in her life Jeanneau launched an R2 version for owners racing at a higher level. It brought three main changes: an open cockpit, a carbon mast and a straight keel, all meant to improve speed, the way she moves through the water and how easy she is to work on deck. Worth knowing which one you're looking at.

She measures 10.1 m overall with a hull length of 9.78 m, a beam of 3.48 m and a draught of 1.9 m. Tanks hold 75 l of fuel and 80 l of fresh water.
