Jeanneau Sun Fast 32
A Philippe Briand 32-footer Jeanneau no longer builds, with a teak and Makore interior, for sailors wanting a nimble, sea-kindly cruiser on the used market.
Inside, the Sun Fast 32 is all warm wood. There's a teak sole, the joinery is varnished Makore, and the saloon is roomy and laid out along traditional marine lines, though the overall design still feels contemporary rather than old-fashioned.
Philippe Briand designed her. She has a wide beam and a well-worked hull from stem to stern, and the result is a boat that feels balanced and moves easily through the water. She turns sharply when you ask her to, and she copes well with heavy seas, so you can sail her in comfort when conditions aren't kind.
She measures 9.5 m overall and draws 1.45 m. She carries 45 l of fuel and 160 l of fresh water.
Jeanneau no longer builds her, so if she appeals, you'll be looking at boats that have already had at least one owner.
