Jeanneau Yachts 54

A 16.16 m Jeanneau cruising yacht, no longer built, drawn by Philippe Briand for long passages, with two to six cabins to suit couples or larger crews.
She's a big cruising yacht, built for long voyages and travelling far, and though Jeanneau has stopped making her, there's a lot here for anyone planning serious time aboard. Philippe Briand drew the hull, with interior design input from Andrew Winch of Winch Design and Jeanneau's own design team.
The numbers: 16.16 m overall and 15.75 m on the hull, a beam of 4.92 m and a draught of 2.24 m. She carries 724 l of fresh water and 240 l of fuel.
Owners could choose the layout, so boats exist with as few as 2 cabins or as many as 6. Whichever version you look at, the owner's cabin is generous, with a large berth, room to move around and hull windows low enough that you can sit and read with the sea right beside you. The galley is well kitted out, and there's plenty of stowage throughout.
On deck, the person sailing her has everything to hand at the back of the cockpit. Helm, engine and bow thruster controls are there, along with the main and genoa sheets, so the dining area further forward stays clear for everyone else. There are loungers on each side of the companionway, and when you're at anchor there's a sunbathing area recessed into the foredeck plus two more on the swim platform.
She was also fitted with the SEANAPPS system, so you can keep an eye on the boat's functions and her maintenance from a smartphone when you're not on board.
