Jeanneau Cap Camarat 555 WA (1995)

A 1995 Jeanneau walkaround day boat, now out of production, with high bulwarks and a small central cabin, suited to families wanting short trips for up to 6 people.

The Cap Camarat 555 WA is one of Jeanneau's older walkarounds, and as the yard no longer builds her, any you find now will be pre-owned. She's 5.7 m overall with a 5.6 m hull, carries 105 l of fuel and is rated for 6 people.

Her strongest point is safety on deck. The bulwark runs high all round, so moving about, or going forward to the bow, feels secure, and getting to the bow is easy and sheltered.

The cabin is laid out centrally. It's not meant for long passages, but it makes an impromptu short cruise comfortable when the weather and the mood suit.

Jeanneau brought her out with the 615 WA after the 725 WA sold well, and gave both a fresh look. That meant a green hull, a teak door, a teak dashboard and wheel bracket, more room between the seats, and a handrail on the windscreen with the running light bracket mounted on it.

With a draught of just 0.3 m, she'll happily sit in shallow water close to the shore.
