Moonstone of Marlow is a 12 Ton Hillyard designed and built by Hillyard in Littlehampton, 1968. A very popular centre cockpit layout, giving excellent accommodation both forward, and in the spacious rear cabin. She is one of the last timber boats built by Hillyard.
Moonstone of Marlow has been lovingly owned by her current owner since 2009. Before his ownership she was treated to a substantial re-fit, and since then she has been maintained religiously.
She is solidly built of Mahogany carvel planking on oak frames to Lloyds standards. She is copper fastened, and has an iron ballast keel, stainless steel bolted with an internal ballast of approximately 2 tons. This is part lead, part pig iron.
She comes with good history, having only had 4 owners from new. Her first owner being for just 1 year, second for 33 years, third for 9 years and current owner since 2009. Over her lifetime she has been extensively sailed around the UK, France, Channel Islands, East Coast UK, and latterly the West Coast of the UK.
Further detailed information can be found inside her advert. She is a beautiful example, and viewing is highly recommended to appreciate the condition of this boat.
She is lay afloat in Milford Marina with Yachts Co International Boat Sales Milford Marina.

VAT, CE and RCD: prices are as advertised for the seller. Unless the listing clearly says so, don’t assume a boat is VAT paid or that its price includes VAT. Boats first placed on the UK or EU market since 16 June 1998 generally have to comply with the Recreational Craft Directive (in Great Britain, the Recreational Craft Regulations 2017) and carry a CE or UKCA mark with a Declaration of Conformity. Before you buy, ask for and check evidence of the boat’s VAT status and RCD compliance, and take advice if it is to be imported or exported.
Buying through a broker: when EUROYACHTS (LARGS) LIMITED sells a used boat as broker for its owner, the contract of sale is between you and the owner, and buying from a private owner gives you fewer statutory rights than buying from a business.
